Mixed-use development totalling 34,700 sq. m which will be home to the Vatel hospitality trade school, on the site of the former Brossette warehouses.
In dialogue with the nearby buildings, Polaris connects different neighbourhoods of the island, and creates new pathways between Boulevard Vincent-Gâche and the Loire. Construction will begin at the end of 2015, resulting in several buildings including:
- The 2,860 sq. m Vatel campus featuring a hospitality trade school, a restaurant and a training cafe. This will be the school’s fifth campus in France (27 campuses worldwide, including 4 in China) after Paris, Lyon, Nimes and Bordeaux.
- A student residence (7,285 sq. m) with 300 apartments primarily for Vatel students,
- 261 apartments (17,843 sq. m) including 87 affordable apartments, 87 social apartments and 76 open-market apartments,
- 6,500 sq. m of office space and 650 sq. m of retail space.
The development will be delivered in phases, starting in September 2017. The Vatel school is scheduled to open September in 2018.
